Empowering Local Entrepreneurs: A Step Towards Sustainable Livelihoods “Supporting local entrepreneurs for digital literacy”.

At Satyam Foundation, empowering grassroots entrepreneurs and supporting sustainable livelihoods remain at the core of our mission. In line with this vision, Mr. Amit Wankhade, Joint Secretary of Satyam Foundation, extended support to a local sugarcane juice vendor by helping him obtain a Food License (FSSAI License).

Many small vendors face challenges due to a lack of awareness about legal procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements. Operating without a food license not only exposes them to legal risks but also limits their ability to grow their business and build customer trust.

Understanding this challenge, Mr. Amit Wankhade guided the vendor through the entire licensing process and ensured that the food license was successfully issued. With this support, the vendor can now:

  • Operate his business legally and confidently
  • Build greater trust among customers
  • Improve hygiene and food safety standards
  • Explore growth opportunities without fear of penalties or disruptions

This initiative reflects Satyam Foundation’s belief that small interventions can create long-lasting impact. By providing timely guidance and legal support, the Foundation not only strengthened a small business but also contributed to securing the livelihood of a family.

Satyam Foundation remains committed to supporting local entrepreneurs, informal workers, and community-based businesses, helping them move towards dignity, compliance, and sustainable growth.

“When small businesses are empowered, communities thrive.”
