INTRODUCTION

Satyam Foundation was incorporated on 27th February, 2020 to work at a National Level. The primary focus of the foundation was to develop the skills and capacities of youth and women for their empowerment and holistic development. The key focus areas of the organization include –
Education, Vocational Training, Sports Training and Education, Environment, Rural
Development, Digital and Financial Literacy in both rural and urban areas. Satyam Foundation has been operational in Kashmir, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra Satyam Foundation through its dedicated team of Core Members, Leadership Group and Pool of volunteers implemented a series of Projects and Campaigns since its inception. These initiatives started with relief and support to underpriviledged households during first and second wave of the pandemic and expanded to other area which includes Sports, Health and Hygeine,
Skill Development, Women Empowerment and Climate Action. All the Projects and
Interventions of Satyam Foundation are ideated to ensure effective implementation of following flagship programmes of Government of India which includes

Vision and Mission Statement

Vision

To empower grass root communities of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Kashmir through direct Project Implementation in the area of Education, Skill Development, Livelihood, Women Empowerment, Health, Hygiene and Nutrition and Climate Action.

Mission

To be a leader in Community Development Initiatives in India through Projects and Campaigns aligned with achieving Sustainable Development Goals and contribute to interventions defined under Schedule VII(Section 135) of Companies Act 1956.

Goals and Objectives


 To promote, establish, run and maintain educational institutions.
 To grant scholarships and stipends to need students of the minority / weaker sections of
the society for their education.
 To promote, establish, run and maintain non-formal education centers as well as
vocational training institutions for women and people belonging to poor and weaker
sections of the society.
 To empower children, youth and women by developing their life skills and develop
leadership skills amongst them
 To promote, establish, run and manage health service facilities including nursing home,
medical clinics and health centers staffed with doctors and nurses who are able to
provide nursing care and basic health services to the local community.
 To establish, run and manage Health Centers, Veterinary Hospitals, Refugee
Settlements, Orphanages and rehabilitation centers.
 To raise basic health standards of the rural masses particularly of scheduled caste / scheduled tribes / weaker section by conducting annual free medical and eye camps, and by providing medicines free of cost.
 To work for alleviation of poverty and for getting social justice for poorer, weaker and downtrodden section of the society, both in rural areas and urban slums focusing particularly on street children.
 To work for the upliftment and empowerment of women by promoting literacy among girls/women, and by supporting income generation activities and other life skills.
 To conserve, protect and promote natural resources such as water, forest, minerals etc. by popularizing afforestation/tree planting in the community, introducing water harvesting techniques, and advocating sustainable exploitation and use of minerals.
 To introduce simple andsustainable technologies and practices for improved water and sanitation facilities, and waste disposal.
 To work with the Government and other Non-Governmental Organisations on major programmes for replantation of deforested areas, conservation of water sheds, and the protection of lakes and other water sources
 To promote, organize and render relief, charitable and benevolent services and all other ancillary services to the victims of war, civil disturbance, riot, famine, earthquake, flood, epidemic and other natural calamities.
 To promote and support mental health and psychological-social counseling services with an effective outreach to the vulnerable groups, especially those women who are distressed, depressed and suicidal and in need of active intervention.
 To promote and support health/ family welfare centers and/or camps for education on preventive healthcare, awareness about major health issues including on HIV/AIDS, and psychological-social counseling for drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Projects and Interventions

The Projects and Interventions of Satyam Foundation are as follows

1)Project Sampoorna Shiksha – Education for All

The Project will provided academic support to children from underpriviledged background through facilitation of coaching and remedial classes. These classes will be facilitated by Shiksha Sahayaks who are trained and certified educators having prior experience of teaching children. These classes will be facilitated at grass root level in community settings to make the
project accessible and inclusive. The focus of the project will be to add strength to the existing interventions of educational system and provide a supplementary support.

The interventions under the Project Shiksha Sahayak are as follows:-
Academic Support: The Academic Support is provided in terms of remedial classes which will be conducted either after school hours. These classes help to bridge the gaps in learning achievements and enable children to reach their grade specific competency level. The classes are conducted by “Educators” selected from within the community with the vision that they
would be the local resource to act as friends and mentors to the children and at the same time stroking community interest and proactive action for quality education. The teaching strategy is based on cooperative and reflective learning where the focus is on enabling learning rather than on teaching.
Learning Support: Learning Support will consist of teaching aids and learning
materials comprising of – basic stationery, educational books and resources, tablets and laptops to facilitate digital based learning.. The learning process of the students will be enhanced through thematic classes conducted by Shiksha Sahayak. These Learning Aids will be provided to poor and needy students through the support of CSR Initiatives and Government Schemes.

2)Project Swasth Sahyog

This is a Holistic Health Project with special emphasis on serving the elderly, children and women who are most vulnerable groups in terms of accessing health services in both urban and rural areas. Under this project the underpriviledged and vulnerable population will be served by providing free of cost health services in remotest locations of the country. Through this Project we aim to target the most vulnerable villages through our health camps and cater to the residents of those villages so as to improve the health status and quota of the target areas. With the help of a team of experienced doctors, trainees, attendees and volunteers regular screening will be done of the individuals and will be provided with required treatments on the basis of the reports. Prioritizing the health care of women and children, we aim to contribute towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The objectives achieved through this project are as follows

  • Reduce the maternal mortality ratio
  • End preventable deaths of new-borns and children under 5 years of age
  • Reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.
  • Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health-care services and access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines
  • Substantially reduce the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution and contamination.
3)Project Khel Kaushal

This Project will be implementing as a Social Campaign and a Movement to sensitize the masses about the importance of Sports in the overall development of its citizens and the nation.
The Project will focus on providing children, adoloscent and youth from marginalized backgrounds to pursue professional sports as a career and providing them with facilities and amenities to accomplish their dreams. The support received under this intiative will be as follows

4)Project Paryavaran Yoddha

This Project aims at creating awareness and sensitization on Water Conservation, Use of Clean and Renewable Energy, Solid and Liquid Waste Management amongst children, adoloscent and youth in identified communities. The focus area of the project will be to create awareness and
sensitization on using Solid and Liquid Waste Management Techniques covering important issues namely – Personal Hygiene and Sanitation, Safeguarding Water Sources, Waste Segregation, Cleanliness and Maintenance of Drains and Open Spaces. A key component of
the Project will be to develop Community Infrastructure for effective Climate Action which include the following

  • Construction of Biogas Unit
  • Rejuvenation of Traditional Water Bodies
  • Installation of Rain Water Harvesting Structures in Government School, Panchayat Bhawan, Anganwadi
  • Installation of Solar Panel and Inverter
  • Construction of Waste Collection Centre in Villages /Panchayats
  • Installation of Common Dustbins for Community use
  • Installing Community Soak Pits The Project will also use an approach to sensitize citizens and encourage behavioral change for effective Waste Management. The key components of the Project will be as follows
  • Conducting Baseline Survey:
  • Developing Informational Educational and Communication Material (IEC) for Outreach and Awareness
  • Outreach to Government Schools and Colleges
  • Facilitating Awareness Program in Government School/ College
  • Capacity Building of School and College Authorities
  • Conducting Training and Capacity Building of Village Development Committee / Self Help Groups
  • Handover of the Project to Panchayat / Community Leader to ensure Sustainability
  • Conducting Impact Assessment and dissemination of Impact Evaluation Report
5)Project Mahila Kaushal Shashaktikaran

The Proposed Project will provide Skills Training, Entrepreneurship Training and Digital Financial Literacy to underpriviledged and marginalized women from villages/ communities of identified districts. The trainings will be followed up by formation self help groups which will be supported by developing market linkages and financial linkages. The beneficaries will be
trained on Stitching, Tailoring, Embroidery, Apparel Development, Product Development and Women Entrepreneurship. The Project is expected to generate a yearly revenue of Rs 10,00,000 /- for each SHG which is expected to increase substantially in the subsequent years.
The key objectives to be achieved through the project are as follows

  • To enhance the economic and social empowerment of women in select villages/ communities of identified District, Maharashtra through skill development/ Upskilling and income generation activities
  • To provide Skill based training to marginalized women in Stitching, Tailoring, Embroidery , Apparel Development through Structured Skill Based Trainings
  • To promote Financial and Digital literacy
  • To orient the women about Innovative Design, Product Marketing through Trainings and Exposure visit
  • To equip 60 % of the trained beneficaries through placement / linkage in Employment or Self-Employment opportunities through Placement and Entrepreneurial Support

Action Plan for the year 2023- 2024

Our Action Plan for the year 2023-24 has been as follows
 To provide Remedial Education to approximately 5000 drop out children , enhance their learning outcomes and mainstream them in Government Schools
 Though the Livelihood Initiative of Satyam Foundation more than 10,000 vulnerable women have gained meaningful livelihood opportunities
 More than 3000 volunteers comprising of children, adolescent and youth will be
mobilized in social actions such as plantation drives, cleanliness drives
 To Adopt 10 Communities in states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal
Kashmir which will be positively impacted through Environmental Focussed
Infrastructure Development and Sports Facilities
 Extending Training, Mentoring and Equipment Aid to more than 500 Children /
Adoloscent aspiring to pursue Professional Sports
